UNICEF warns of not providing water to the children of Libya in the near future.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned against not providing water to Libyan children in the near future.

In a statement on the occasion of World Environment Day, the organization expressed its concern about the lack of water for the children of Libya in the near future, as Libya ranks sixth in the world in terms of water scarcity.

The organization called for the need to develop a comprehensive water strategy to address its scarcity, invest in renewable solutions, and cooperate with youth to accelerate the pace of climate action.

UNICEF also affirmed that it and its partners stand by Libya and the youth in this journey.
