Saudi Investment Minister, Iraqi Planning Minister Co-chair Meeting of Economic, Commercial, Investment, Development, Aid Committee, affiliated to Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council

Riyadh, The Economic, Commercial, Investment, Development and Aid Committee of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council had a meeting under the co-presidency of Saudi Investment Minister Eng. Khalid Al-Faleh and Iraqi Minister of Planning Dr. Khalid Al-Najim, it was reported today.

The virtual meeting, which took place yesterday, discussed several issues on its agenda, most important of which are activating agreements and memorandums of understanding, stimulating investments and supporting the private sector and facing its challenges.

Attendees of the meeting also reviewed top Saudi partnership projects concerned with investment in Iraq and discussed progress made by several companies in various sectors, such as energy and renewable energy, petrochemicals, industry and agriculture, and medical sectors, among other investment fields of joint interest for both countries.

Both sides also addressed joint action to provide an investment environment that contributes to supporting and increasing the volume of Saudi investments in Iraq, in addition to developing bilateral ties between the two countries in the economic and commercial fields and improving them.
