Omani State Council Member: Historical Relations Between Saudi Arabia and Oman Are Based on Good Neighborliness, Consultation

Riyadh, Member of the Omani State Council Dr. Aisha bint Hamad Al-Darmaki has underscored the depth of the historical relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that these relations are based on good neighborliness, consultation and exchange of points of view towards issues of mutual interest.

She recalled that the first visit of its kind abroad for the late Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed was also to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1971, as he assumed power, adding that the visit took place at the invitation of the late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Such recurrence proves the depth of the historical relations binding the two fraternal countries aiming at maintaining the regional security and realizing prosperity for its peoples, she stated, calling the upcoming visit of Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik as a very important step in bolstering bilateral cooperation relations in the context of their strategic partnerships.
