Jeddah, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh received here his Indonesian counterpart Yaqut Choilil Coumas, currently on a visit to the Kingdom.
In a press conference held here between the two ministers, Dr. Al-Sheikh hailed the consensus of visions between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Indonesia as a substantial support for the efforts to spread the principles of moderation and tolerance with the rejection of extremism.
He also commended the memorandum of understanding (MOU) previously signed between the two ministries, as well as the executive program aiming at the achievement of goals of serving Islam and Muslims in the two countries.
For his part, the Indonesian Minister Yaqut Coumas reiterated keenness to benefit from the Kingdom’s efforts and expertise to disseminate moderation and tolerance, and preserve religious values, in addition to confronting extremism and hate speech.
