Mikdad, Abdollahian discuss Syrian -Iranian firm stances in support of the Palestinian cause

Damascus, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad received on Sunday a telephone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, dealing with crimes committed by the forces of the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Both sides expressed full support for the steadfast Palestinian people in the face of the Zionist assaults, stressing the need for the international community to play its role in lifting the injustice on the Palestinians and protecting them from the Zionist machine of destruction.

Mikdad underlined that Syria is ongoing in standing by the Palestinian people who defend their right to life and freedom.

Mikdad said that everything that is currently taking place in the Palestinian territories requires from the Palestinian brothers further work to achieve unity and decision-making at the national level and before the international community.

This also requires all Arab and Islamic countries to exercise the utmost degree of solidarity with the Palestinian people to stop this aggression and isolate Israel on the regional and international arenas, Mikdad added.

Abdollahian affirmed that the axis of resistance continues to support the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people against the Zionist entity.

He highlighted the unity of the Syrian and Iranian stance towards the Palestinian cause and other crucial issues of concern to the two friendly and brotherly countries.
