Meta Pulling Facebook Messenger App from the Apple Watch

Meta announced that it is pulling the Facebook Messenger app at the end of May.

According to an official spokesperson of the tech company, the users of the application are notified that it will cease working at the end of the month.

Although message alerts continue to arrive, users will not be able to respond via the Apple Watch and will have to use the app on the iPhone, as the application provides Apple Watch users the ability to quickly receive and respond messages will cease to work.

Meta is also piloting the WhatsApp owned app on Android WearOS smart watches to connect the app on the watch to the phone to receive messages and review conversations while maintaining the confidentiality of fully encrypted messages, and Google has also promised to support calls later, when the app is available to all users.
