“Longines World Show Jumping” Champions Loud Saudi Arabia for Hosting Sporting Events

Riyadh, British jockey Benjamin Richard Maher, the first-place winner in the overall standings of the Longines Show Jumping Tours Championship, praised the competition’s high level of organization, the warm reception, the large turnout, and their interaction with the contestants.

Maher noted the extent of preparation for this global event and the competition in presenting it at the highest level, stressing that this enhances the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s being an ideal global destination for hosting international sporting events. He praised the competitiveness among the jumpers, which, in his point of view was not easy, pointing out that the jump start is one of the most important steps for a jockey to win.

Meanwhile, the third-place winner in the general standings, Christian Ahlmann, praised the Kingdom’s distinguished organization of the championship, which enjoys great global follow-up, explaining that the Diriyah Season’s hosting of this global event increased the volume of public interest in it, given that the equestrian sport is one of the sports that enjoy global interest.
