Jeddah, The Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) has won the presidency of the Federation of Contractors from Islamic Countries (FOCIC) affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in addition to hosting the Federation’s headquarters.

FOCIC General Assembly agreed that the Saudi Contractors Authority would chair the Federation’s Board of Directors in its first session, as well as host its headquarters and that the Authority would undertake the preparation and operation of the headquarters and provide the necessary costs for the technical and administrative structures and logistical services until the Federation can carry out its responsibilities and activities.

SCA’s initiative to chair and host the headquarters of the Union came in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, for the Kingdom to be the headquarters of various regional and international organizations and bodies, due to the Kingdom's distinguished strategic location linking the three continents of Asia, Europe, and Africa.

FOCIC is a professional institution established in 1991 and includes many trade unions, federations, and bodies from 57 countries around the world on 4 continents speaking three different languages, and aims at developing and strengthening the contracting industry in the Islamic member states, and enhancing its capabilities to create an advanced construction industry.
