ICESCO Announces Extending Nomination for Award for Environmental Management in Islamic World

Rabat, Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has announced extending the nomination period of the current session (2021-2022) for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Award for Environmental Management in Islamic World till March 31, 2022, which was slated for December 31, 2021, with the aim of providing an opportunity for the biggest number of individuals and institutions willing to participate, after the award administration received a big number of letters requiring extending the nomination term.

The organization noted that nomination for the award, whose secretariat general is run by ICESCO under the supervision of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the National Center for Environmental Compliance, will continue be open for interested people from the Islamic world and abroad till the end of next March in various award categories, where a jury will choose three winners in each category.

Winners are scheduled to receive awards during the opening session of the Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers, which will be held in Jeddah in 2022.
