GCC Ministers of Social Development Affairs Hold Their Seventh Meeting

The Ministers of Social Development Affairs in the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) held their seventh meeting, virtually, today, chaired by the Minister of Labor and Social Development in Bahrain, Chairman of the current session of the Committee Jamil Muhammad Humaidan, with the participation of the ministers of Social Development in the GCC countries, and the Assistant Secretary for Economic and Development Affairs Khalifa bin Saeed Al-Abri.

The committee discussed many topics on the agenda, foremost of which is the vision of the General Secretariat on strengthening the joint GCC action for the post-Corona pandemic, the social development strategy for the GCC countries, and the proposed initiatives to implement the strategy, the proposed general framework on encouraging marriage for those who face societal challenges, in addition to the measures taken to organize the Sixth GCC Theater Festival for Persons with Disabilities, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2022.
