Foreign Minister: Saudi-Iraqi relations are witnessing a great positive momentum

Baghdad, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, reiterated that Saudi-Iraqi relations are currently witnessing positive momentum, driven by the directives of the leaderships of the two countries, which confirms the depth of the close ties between the two countries and its people.

In a press conference held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, with his Iraqi counterpart, Dr. Fuad Hussein, the Foreign Minister said that Saudi Arabia and Iraq are working closely to continue the momentum in bilateral relations and to deepen their coordination and cooperation, especially in the economic and development aspects.

Prince Faisal renewed the Kingdom's support for all the efforts made by the Iraqi government aimed at promoting prosperity and stability in Iraq and seeking to achieve sustainability in growth and prosperity for Iraq and its people, highlighting the importance of activating the Joint Coordination Council, which works to increase projects in many fields and to enhance coordination and cooperation between the private sectors to take advantage of the opportunities available in the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the economic development and growth witnessed by Iraq, as well as the rapid economic development in the Kingdom, which is effectively reflected in the creation of great opportunities in the two countries, which benefits the sustainable prosperity of the two countries, and reflects positively on the entire region.

He noted the importance of enhancing the security and stability of the region to achieve development goals, highlighting the essential role that Iraq plays in this regard, adding that there is close and continuous coordination between the two countries to ensure security and stability through dialogue, promoting common interests and addressing any aspects of differences, to achieve prosperity, which the two countries seek.
