Burning Associated Gas in Iraq will Stop Permanently in 2025, Announces Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister

Riyadh, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ali Abdulamir Allawi, stressed that Iraq will stop burning associated gas permanently in 2025, which requires the government to allocate an exceptional budget exceeding USD three billion for the next four years.

This came during his participation in the "Middle East Green Initiative Summit', inaugurated in Riyadh by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, where he expressed his thanks to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for inviting Iraq to participate in this important summit.

"At this summit, we seek to start developing plans to transform the future of our countries and all their economies to a green future free of emissions", Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister said.
