33rd AFC Congress 2023 to Begin Tomorrow in Bahrain

Riyadh, The agenda for the Asian Football Confederation's 33rd Congress will be launched tomorrow in Manama, with the announcement of the start of Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa's third term as President of the AFC and the Continental Confederation. The Bahraini capital will host elections for the Executive Office of the Asian Confederation and membership in the FIFA Council on the Asian continent.

The Congress's agenda includes the official announcement of the winning country with the honor of organizing the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, which is expected to be the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Five countries had applied to host before Uzbekistan, Iran, and India withdrew, while Qatar was excluded due to its winning of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
