Manama, The Syrian national football team started on Saturday its training camp in Bahrain to meet its team next Thursday in an international friendly match as part of preparations for the resumption of the joint World Cup and Asian qualifiers in Qatar 2022 and China 2023.
The Syrian team will also meet Iran in a second friendly match on March 30th.
FIFA has decided to postpone the qualifiers to next June due to the Corona pandemic.
The Syrian national team tops the qualifiers with 15 points after 5 wins on the Philippines 5-2, Maldives 2-1, Guam 4-0, China 2-1 and 2-1 over Philippines in the second leg.
