Arab League Secretary General Condemns Houthi Militia’s Targeting of Riyadh City

Cairo, The Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit has strongly condemned the escalation by the Houthi militia, including its targeting of Riyadh City last Saturday with a ballistic missile that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed.
In a statement today, the Secretary General expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in any measures it takes to defend its territories and the safety of its citizens, stressing confidence in its ability to confront these terrorist attacks that target civilians.
The Secretary General pointed out that the Houthi militia’s escalation of its operations and attacks on Marib, since the beginning of last month, comes within the framework of a reckless Iranian agenda that uses Yemen as a political bargaining chip without any consideration of the dangerous consequences on the lives of civilians. He held the Houthi militia responsible for the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
