A number of young men belonging to the "Youth Movement for Change" on Thursday crossed the external gate of the Lebanese Central Bank Lebanon in Hamra and gathered in its inner courtyard with the aim of reading a statement with the Movement's demands, NNA reporter said.

The statement criticized "the exploitation of banks, and the policies of Central Bank's Governor, Riad Salameh.

"The financial engineering tailored by Salameh has given banks illegal profits, from which big depositors have benefitted the most," the protesters' statement read.
