Riyadh, James Allisson, an immunologist, was named as winner of Nobel prize in Medicine, the 19th time in a row a former laureate of King Faisal International Prize steps to pick the world's most renowned award.

After few months of being selected as winner of KFIP in medicine, Allisson today shared the world best pick for his discovery of cancer therapy by inhibition of negative immune regulation.

To mark the occasion, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sabeel, Secretary General of KFIP, expressed happiness of Professor Allisson's winning the Nobel prize, a once more confirmation of the strictness of standards and efficiency of nomination applied by KFIP.
