BAQUBA The Security forces have stepped up their operations on the border between Diyala and Salah Al-Din after monitoring the movement of the vehicles of Daesh organization.

"The joint security forces and the popular and tribal crowds on the northern side of Baquba have entered a state of maximum alert after monitoring the movement of the vehicles of Daesh organization in the Mteibege basin on the administrative border between Diyala and Salah Al-Din," said Mohammad al-Obeidi, head of the local council.

He added that the monitoring of the movement of the vehicles and the rapid evasion and disappearance is a clear evidence of the existence of strongholds for the cells of Daesh in the Mtaibeja basin, calling on the military to carry out a large-scale military operation to clear the region of terrorist gangs.
