Riyadh, Yemen's foreign minister Khalid Al-Yamani demanded the US administration to show firm cooperation to thwart attempts to establish a new Hezbollah in Yemen designed to threaten the security of both Yemen and the region.

During a meeting with the US ambassador to Yemen Mathew Toler, which took place in Riyadh today, Al-Yamani underscored the importance of continuation of support of all partners and Yemen's peaceful political settlement sponsor-countries for the efforts the UN envoy for Yemen is exerting to produce a fair and sustaining political solution to the crisis in Yemen.

According to the Yemeni news agency, which carried the news, he also pointed to the importance of mitigating the sufferings of Yemeni people, citing the need to continue providing the needy in Yemen with foodstuffs and other relief materials as well as the need to end the coup that usurped the State in Sanaa and reiterating his government's position supportive to the U.S. stance towards the Iranian regime rejecting its interference in the affairs of other countries and threatening agenda in the region.

For his part, the ambassador said his country's administration would work with the Yemeni government and the UN envoy for Yemen to achieve the goals of restoring the legitimate state and guarantee the security and stability of Yemen and the region.
