The president of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri received today at the Center House the Italian Ambassador to Lebanon Massimo Marotti, who said after the meeting:

"I had the pleasure to visit Prime Minister Saad Hariri to congratulate him for the elections and to present to him the commitment that Italy took at the Rome 2 conference in March. The engagement is being implemented. It is the donation of 2.4 million to the Lebanese armed force and Internal security forces, the doubling of the program to train the Lebanese armed forces in 2018 and the commitment of the Italian security insurance agency to provide credit lines to Italian companies realizing projects for the army and Internal security forces. Italy is also present in UNIFIL."

Hariri later on received a delegation from the administrative board and the basketball team at the Homenetmen Club, headed by the president of the basketball club Guy Manoukian, who presented to him the trophies that the club won: the Arab Championship, the Lebanon Cup and the Lebanese Championship.

During the meeting, Manoukian said that Lebanon is a homeland for all its sons and there is no minority or majority. He pointed out that perseverance, hard work, credibility and efficiency are the only ways to find results. He added that Prime Minister Hariri represents the youth and their future.

Hariri congratulated Homenetmen on its achievements and wished the club success. -- Press release
