French Ambassador to Lebanon, Bruno Foucher, held on Tuesday evening, a ceremony at the Pine residence, in commemoration of the end of the Second World War.

The French diplomat said during the ceremony that the states that were violent and aggressive during the Second World War "have eventually proven that they are a model of democracy."

US Ambassador, Elizabeth Richard, European Union Ambassador, Christina Lassen, British Ambassador, Hugo Shorter, German Ambassador, Martin Huth, Belgian Ambassador, Alex Lenaerts, Romanian Ambassador, Victor Mircea, Moroccan Ambassador, Mohammad Ghrin, Tunisian Ambassador, Kamil Boudali, UNIFIL chief of staff, General Christian Thiebault, French military attache, Colonel Christian Hero, and military attaches and representatives of different countries that were part of the Second World War, were also present.
