Ramadan preparations underway

Manama, Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on the holy month of Ramadan.

He also extended congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the people of Bahrain and the Islamic nation.

Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs Dr. Farid bin Yacoub Al-Meftah also congratulated HM the King, the loyal people of Bahrain and the whole Islamic nation.

In a statement today, he said that the ministry had lined up various programmes and events to mark the holy month of Ramadan, including activities and lectures, which will be held across Bahrain in cooperation with the Sunni and Jafferi endowment directorates.

The ministry will host several preachers from The Kingdom of Morocco and Egypt, in addition to 147 others working with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

The ministry has issued a guide for Ramadan Iftar timings in both Arabic and English, stressing the importance of complying with official accredited reference and avoid the unauthorized timings.

The ministry will also host a series of functions during the holy month of Ramadan, including the final ceremony of the 23rd Bahrain Quran Grand Prize, which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs Dr. Farid bin Yacoub Al-Meftah said that the Zakat Fund would distribute aid to 1055 families during the month of Ramadan, at its premises at the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre in addition to other aid packages.
