A 2-year-old child drowned in a swimming pool at a chalet near the road connecting Irbid and Ramtha in the northern region, Ramtha Governor Tayel Majali said on Monday. He went on to say that the child, who was in critical condition, was rushed to King Abdullah University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. According to Majali, the owner of the chalet was summoned to confirm that the place is licensed.
